Buy a vanity plate in 4 steps: find a plate and check its meaning, compare its asking price with the market median, meet the seller, then deal directly.

This website does not sell plates itself. Our job is to make sure you know the price before you talk, and then to introduce you to the seller. This page explains step by step who does what, which parts are our job, which parts are between you and the seller, and what you need to prepare.
Search by a number you like, the digit sum you want, province or price range, or filter by birth day to screen out plates with Kalakini (กาลกิณี) numbers, the inauspicious letters and digits for your birth day, from the start. Every plate has its own detail page showing its digit sum, grade, meanings in Thai and Chinese numerology, and an overall score with a breakdown of where the score comes from.
If you are not sure yet, you can use the calculator to compare several numbers first. Tap the heart to save plates you are interested in to your favourites and come back to decide later. Your favourites show the latest asking price, so you can see whether anything has changed since the day you saved them.
This is the step most people skip, and it is the step this website exists for. On every plate page we show the market median of a group of comparable plates, which is the median of asking prices in the same group, together with the range where most prices fall, and we tell you by what percentage the figure you are looking at is above or below that median.
The market median is not an instruction to buy or not to buy. A plate priced above its group may have a real reason, such as a letter series that reads more pleasingly or a province where demand is higher. What you gain from this step is bargaining power: knowing a reference figure before you open the conversation, instead of trusting the first price you see.
The market median is an asking price, so it sits closer to the top of the price range than the bottom. The price actually agreed is usually lower because of negotiation and liquidity. Before agreeing, also check the plate's status, such as whether the auction price has been paid in full and how many days are left before the 180-day deadline to register it to a vehicle. The full valuation method is in the article on how to value a license plate in 7 steps.
If a plate has no market median shown, it means its comparison group does not have enough samples to meet the threshold. We prefer not to draw a conclusion rather than guess. In that case, use the price range for numbers with the same pattern as a guide instead.
Press the contact button on the plate page to fill in a short form with your name, phone number, LINE ID if you have one, and any additional message, or message our team directly on LINE. When you press the LINE button, the system automatically copies the plate details along with a reference code, so you can paste them straight into the chat without typing them yourself.
Our team will help check that the listing is still open, then pass your interest on to the seller along with your contact details for them to get back to you. There is no charge at this step and it does not commit you to anyone, because no price has been agreed yet.
We have no power to hold a plate for you, because we do not hold the plate and we are not the seller. A plate is only set aside once you have agreed terms with the seller, according to that seller's own conditions.
Before transferring money to a seller, always ask for three things in writing: the price actually agreed, an itemised list of costs that separates government fees from service fees, and the refund terms if the process cannot be completed. Also check who is receiving the money and whether their identity can be verified. We do not accept payment for plates under any circumstances.
You prepare the documents for your vehicle: the original vehicle registration book, your national ID card with a copy, and a power of attorney if an agent will file on your behalf. For a company, add a recent company registration certificate and a copy of the ID card of the authorised director. If the vehicle is under finance, you must first obtain consent and the registration book from the financial institution.
The application is filed at a land transport office in line with government regulations. Most sellers handle this for you, and you should ask clearly who will file it and what the service fee is. The job is complete when you have received all three of these: the new plates, the vehicle registration book with the details updated, and the receipt for the government fees.
In a typical case where the documents are ready and the vehicle has no encumbrances, the process from agreement to filing day usually takes just a few business days. Issuing the new plates follows the queue at the land transport office where you file.
If the vehicle is under finance or needs an additional inspection, it will take longer, depending on how quickly the financial institution responds. The exact timeframe depends on the seller and the land transport office, so you should ask clearly before agreeing, not after transferring money.
Well-priced vanity plates often attract several interested buyers at the same time. If we check and find that the listing has already closed, we will tell you right away and point you to plates with a similar number, digit sum or pattern to compare. The market median of the original group can still be used as your budget guide.
The advantage of knowing the market median in advance is that you do not have to start from scratch every time you miss out on a plate, because you already know what price range a number of that level should fall in.
Prices shown are the sellers' asking prices on the date we last checked. Sellers can change prices or close listings at any time, so please confirm with the seller before deciding.
The market median is the median asking price across the comparable plates we have collected. It is not an actual sale price, which is usually lower because of negotiation and liquidity. We only show it when the comparison group has enough listings, so plates without enough comparables have no market median.
We are a price comparison site. We do not own or sell any plate. The prices shown are the sellers' asking prices, recorded with the date we last checked. We earn by introducing buyers to sellers and add nothing to the price you see.
